•OVERVIEW•

The Last Kingdom is a television adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Stories series of historical novels produced by Netflix, originally in partnership with BBC America. As in the novels, the show tells the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, a Saxon warlord raised by Danish vikings who becomes entangled in Alfred the Great's struggle to unite the British kingdoms against the Great Heathen Army in the 9th century.

The fourth season of The Last Kingdom will pick up form the cliffhanger ending of season three when Uhtred was forced to flee Wessex to the North with his brother Ragnar after accidentally killing a holy man in the presence of King Alfred. 

The new season will see another time jump and welcome aged-up versions of Uhtred’s children who will have their own storylines this time around.
The fourth season will have a lot of actions and a lot of adventure to look forward to. There will be a jump in the time period. We will see that Young Osbert is raised by Danes and they will rename him as Uhtred. Uhtred will be given a task by Alfred the King to train the armies of Alfred.
